outside the Steveston Starbucks Cafe

This cafe is really beautiful. The entire front of the cafe is floor to ceiling glass, and outside the front entrance is a large patio beneath a glass roof to keep one safe from sudden bouts of rain. Steveston in general is a beautiful little area. It’s set in a marina, and there’s a long dock with a bunch of stylish little bars and fish and chips shops along the dock. You can see the water if you’re sitting inside the Starbucks. Simeon and I like to come to Steveston whenever we’re in Canada. But today was great. It was a wonderful way to start the New Year.

the view from inside the cafe

On New Years Eve, we were pretty busy. We had two shows to do, and we had to drive from downtown Seattle up to Richmond, BC, between the two shows. We made it to our coach’s house after the Richmond show very late, and slept in until about 10:45 the next morning. When all three of us were up, we decided to drive into Steveston to share breakfast. It was a great idea. The sun was so bright, the entire town absolutely charming, and breakfast was so relaxing that morning. It was really a great way to relax and get geared up for the new year. The entire time we were eating breakfast, I just kept thinking to myself, I really hope today is a sign of what the year will be like: lots of hard work, but lots of sun and brightness. With the two shows the night before, this breakfast at the Steveston Starbucks was a great pay-off. I think Starbucks really scored with opening this cafe. We have been there often, and we will go back again. Steveston Starbucks can look forward to seeing us almost any time we’re up in BC.
